Permission Issue for Casablanca Virtual Camera (macOS 14 & 15)

If the Casablanca Virtual Camera does not appear in video call programs or Casablanca does
not start at all, it may be that necessary permissions were not granted during the installation process. If the following window appears at the end of the installation, you must click on
Open System Settings.

Grant permissions retroactively for macOS 14

 

 

 

 

1. Go to your System Settings and click on Privacy and Security.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Scroll down the list of permissions to the message that the Casablanca Virtual Camera has been blocked. After you click on "Allow", you can start the application and the Casablanca Virtual Camera should appear in the camera list of video conferencing programs. 

 

 

Grant permissions retroactively for macOS 15

1. Open your System Settings and go to Login Items & Extensions.

2. Under Camera Extensions, enable the Casablanca Virtual Camera
(as shown in the video below).
